Teck Yong Ricky Tan

Mr. Tan first began his foray into the education industry in 1986, operating childcare centres in Singapore and later, China. He was also involved in the operations of QuestXone in Singapore and Jakarta; the former was one of the largest indoor playgrounds in Singapore at that time. Mr. Tan then decided to focus on expanding the business in Vietnam and opened the first KinderWorld International Kindergarten in Ho Chi Minh City in 2000. After 19 years, KinderWorld is now the largest owner-operator of foreign-invested international schools business in Vietnam, operating 15 campuses of international schools across 8 cities. In 2017, Mr. Tan was honoured with the Medal for the Cause of the Capital City Development by the Hanoi People’s Committee in recognition of his contribution to local human capital and socio-economic development.
Mr. Tan is an alumnus of several executive development programmes from reputable universities, including the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University and the University of California at Berkeley, USA.
